So why Fort Macleod, AB; Victoria, BC; and New York, NY?

Fort Macleod because my oldest daughter and her husband live in Alberta, my oldest granddaughter and her husband live in Alberta, my older brother, his wife, and their three daughters and ten grandchildren live in Alberta, and I took the picture while visiting a Fort Macleod resident, a dear friend who took us through the restored fort.

Victoria because my youngest daughter, her husband, and their two children live in Victoria, and my younger brother, his wife, and their younger daughter live on the island.  I took this picture facing east toward the Canadian and US mainland. (Apologies to my niece in Montreal for not including a photo from La Belle Province in my collage.)

And NYC because that's where my darling wife and I live with Smoke and Ash, our cats.

So, enough about them; I write mystery novels in the sub-genres of murder, suspense, and romance. Manhattan's Upper West Side a stone's throw from Lincoln Center is home. Through some investigative work by my youngest daugher in Victoria, I learned to my great pleasure that I am an Aboriginal Canadian, thanks to a Cree Indian by the name of Wewepihawish who married a courer de bois by the name of Joseph Wa Wa Lucier in the late 1700's, and additional thanks of course to a lot of people in between who carried on the lineage.

As to age, I was born in a leap year in a month on a day whose sum of the individual digits is 49. Since 1995 I have devoted all of the time not spent in living to writing. If you want to know what I look like, you have to purchase one of my novels.

I crawled onto life's stage in Western Canada, lived in eight towns and cities there before moving to Montreal for a couple of years and then to New York City. I attended six schools through grade twelve when, as an complete and utter failure, I packed it in. Subsequently, I completed advanced courses at five universities and won top awards for business finance and communications.Today most of my time is spent in front of a computer when my assistant isn't sending e-mails to his pals.
